Just to point out also that when using the Clarity card that although yet do get charged interest daily on cash transactions you're actually accessing a better conversion rate than using bureau de change or debit cards.

Most Debit cards would charge 2% or greater conversion fee so this offsets the interest on the credit card. Basically you get more currency for your ££'s

When I go abroad I just use my banking app on my phone to send the money back to the card the next day from my account, or if you're planning on withdrawing say £200 worth of currency the day you arrive at the destination just set a SO on your current account to make a one-off payment back to the card the day after you arrive.

    Hi
I have a Clarity card and plan to use it to pay in Euros for hotel accommodation and car hire in Spain.
I know that I should always pay in the local currency and not sterling if offered, but what I am unsure of is the exchange rate that will be applied on conversion.
Will it be the interbank rate (1.2679 as of writing) or do they apply a 'tourist' rate?

...and in your T&Cs (condition 5.3 [the 'payment system' referred to is that of Mastercard])...
