Ppi declined from capital one

Hi
Can anyone pls advise me how to claim ppi back from capital one. I took out a credit card in 2005 and have only just realised that there is ppi on it and cant remember asking for this. I didnt even know what this was until a few days ago when i got a phone call from a company saying that my name had come up on their data base and could claim ppi back for me. I wrote to capital one last year asking them to delete this as i didnt know what it was but they wrote back and said they couldnt remove it as my signature didnt match their records, and i am still paying ppi. Can anyone advise me how to claim this back,
thanks
