ipod touch heelp please

Hi

Could someone point me in the right direction please? My ds ipod has stopped opening apps when you touch the screen to open a app the screen just sort if blinks then goes back to the same screen and nothing opens at all

Google for 'reset iPod touch' , 'reboot iPod touch' or similar - there's a certain key combination to press.....

Hold down the 'off button' and 'home button' for 10 seconds or so and get it to hard reset.

Have you recently updated the iOS? Was it jailbroken? That is the symptom of having 'dodgy' applications when the jailbreak was removed.

it could also be an app stuck. If the soft reset doesn't really do anything, double click the home button and at the bottom all the open apps show up. Press a finger on one of the apps to make it shake with the x in the top left corner, and press the x on all apps open. Then try and open the apps to see if one is causing a particular problem.

You could also check the diagnosis section to see if something says what's wrong with it.
