Anyone finding selling slow tonight?

My item finished tonight and went for the opening bid, despite 8 watchers. I thought Wednesday's were supposed to be good nights to end on?

We always end on a Sunday night the best night to end on, but yes it been slow over the couple of weeks, we're down around £5k in sales across 3 accounts compared to last month.

Number of factors are coming into play such as UK Listings no longer on the .com site

    Mainly Brand New Car Parts
  • There's something I sell regularly - contact lens solution. Before Christmas, this item was going for a lot more, not just for me, but for others. I think a lot more people are selling it and the bottom of the market has dropped out. I wasn't selling it last night, though. Can't believe - 8 watchers and no-one bid! At least it sold, I guess.

I think that happens with these sorts of commodity items.

I noticed the same with toothbrush heads.

It used to be that you could get them quite a bit cheaper than in the shops from a few sellers.

As people realised that there was easy money to be made the number of sellers increased and the price went down to the point where you can now, if you're prepared to make a few bids, get them for ridiculously low prices.

It's always going to be the same. Anything that you can sell easily and regularly and obtain wholesale will attract a load of sellers and the prices will become depressed until they are actually selling for near wholesale.

Ebay is comprised of a community of millions... so there are no 'slow' nights.. cept maybe xmas day/new years night etc.

Sales will slow slightly as we head into summer though... as people save for holidays etc.

If the item should have sold better then perhap host your own pictures so they are bigger and more detailed. Sell more items because that way you get more hits from people clicking "view sellers other items".. and possibly go for a 10 day auction if your not already.

I wouldnt have an auction end at 8pm... isnt eastenders on then? I go for 7.15 because emmerdale sucks so more people will be online.
