Does anyone know how using an MP for my tax credit claim help? what is it the mp does.
My last claim was rejected they just said that i didnt provide all the info that was needed which i think is rubbish.
Ive jusy put in a new claim, and my mp said she can help but i dont know how! Its been 6 weeks now with no tax credits and my childcare costs are rising by the day. any help gratefully received

The MP's admin assistant puts a covering letter onto your enquiry....
"My constituent has today enquired... blah blah blah...."

Here's what I posted on a thread earlier.
Not to rain on anyone's parade about an MP and obviously some MPs are better than others, but it's not that an MP solves the problem, it's simply that an MP is involved.
An MP's enquiry not only results in priority being given to that case, but whatever happened has to be justified to the MP.
If what happened was correct, an explanation is sent. If what happened is wrong, the error gets corrected almost instantly and an explanation is sent.
This was based on experience over 4 decades in DSS/DWP/JC+.
From the previous comment, maybe HMRC managers are not so scared of an MP's enquiry. :rotfl:0
