Lots of DRO questions

Options
I have been struggling to pay my debts and haven't been able to afford to pay anything for the past 2 months. I went onto the CCCS website and took the debt remedy, and they suggested a Debt Relief Order.

I am worried about the cost of £90, my birthday is coming up and I have asked family for a few £ rather than a present to put towards this. If my application is going to be rejected I would rather use the £90 towards the debts. So, could you please take a look at my situation and double check if I am likely to be accepted?

Income:
£56.25 per week jobseekers allowance (started last week)

Outgoings:
Board £150 per month to parents (includes my share of all utilities)
Public transport £11 per month (bus to jobcentre, can't be avoided as it's too far)
Food/Cleaning: £20 per month
Clothes: £21 per month (I could do without this but the CCCS calculator wouldn't accept less than that?)
Phone: £10 per month
Sundries £10 per month (stamps, envelopes etc)

I am concerned because of another post where the person was rejected because her board payment was to her parents. My parents will kick me out if I don't pay it.

What do you think?

I have a few other questions too. If I find a job whilst on the DRO how do I start paying my debt? Do I need to contact the insolvency service to remove myself from the DRO or can I pay my creditors straight away? I am moving in September to live with a friend, who do I need to inform of my change of address? The insolvency service or also my creditors? If I move and my board payments change, do I need to inform the insolvency service even if my surplus is still under £50?

If I do need to contact the insolvency service do I have to do it through CCCS?

What paperwork will I need to submit with my application? Proof of income? Will I need a balance letter from my creditors?

Will the DRO affect only my credit or everyone at this address?

Sorry for so many questions, I have researched online but I have ended up more confused.

Fingers crossed I find a job tomorrow and won't need to do this!

Thank you.

What do you think? I think with the other post, I was waiting to see if the client confirmed if a creditor appealed on the basis of contribution, or what happened. I don't see anything wrong with what you're paying, you may be asked why by the CCCS advisor who does your DRO but if they are satisfied it's fine.

I have a few other questions too. If I find a job whilst on the DRO how do I start paying my debt? Do I need to contact the insolvency service to remove myself from the DRO or can I pay my creditors straight away? If you get a job during the DRO I'd advise you contact CCCS (if they do your DRO) first, they will draw up a new budget with you. If after all your costs are paid your surplus is less than £50, the DRO will continue as normal. If it is over £50, the DRO will be revoked but CCCS will advise you on what to do next. Either way they will help you with the new budget and give you a copy to send to the Insolvency Service.

I am moving in September to live with a friend, who do I need to inform of my change of address? The insolvency service or also my creditors? If I move and my board payments change, do I need to inform the insolvency service even if my surplus is still under £50? Again, contact CCCS, they will update their details then advise you on who you need to contact.

If I do need to contact the insolvency service do I have to do it through CCCS? If you need to contact the insolvency service you do it directly, but always speak to CCCS first.

What paperwork will I need to submit with my application? Proof of income? Will I need a balance letter from my creditors? CCCS should send you some information asking for what they need. It will include your Experian Credit Report, proof of income, and a letter or statement from each creditor. I believe CCCS also ask for a declaration to be read and signed, and a checklist to be filled out, and they will provide these for you.

Will the DRO affect only my credit or everyone at this address? The DRO will only effect your credit rating, no-one else in the address should be affected.

Sorry for so many questions, I have researched online but I have ended up more confused.

Fingers crossed I find a job tomorrow and won't need to do this!

    Thank you.

You will find all my answers in red above. CCCS will provide you with a helpline for their DRO team. When you get your advice booklet from them, read it all through, and call them if anymore answers you need aren't in there.
