quick question
i want to leave npower so i thought id give scottish power a call so the lady gave me the prices etc then she said she would do a credit check and then came back and said i would have to pay £250, i asked her if she could explain why i would have to pay this and she told me she couldnt as it didnt say it on screen???? i then asked if a manager could explain why they wanted this money and yet again she said they couldnt, i found this a bit odd, in all the years ive had a house ive never heard of this, can anybody shed some light, thanks

You must have failed the credit check, they want a deposit. BG do the same, although the deposit isn't quite as steep. Not all providers credit check though, so if you are desperate to change then ring around.0
