help confused with PPI Halifax BoS

I have tried to claim my PPI from Halifax/BoS but today received a letter from Halifax saying they are transferring my PPI to Lloyds Banking Group? Can anyone advise me about this as I thought my claim would be investigated.

Your complaint and this information are unrelated.
  • Thank you. Still confused as to why they are doing this!

Can be numerous fiscally advantageous reasons, none of which apply to you personally!

we have also recieved one of these today......also waiting on a ppi claim for a loan from them going back what we think is about 10 years ago.....these have long since ended so this letter has confused me somewhat.....wife has a loan with them now which she took out in 2009, does this mean that this loan possibly has PPI on it ? because if it does its completely new to me and her .....cant imagine the old loans and the associated PPI has triggered this letter and brochure....

The only way to be sure is to ask. Should be a simple matter of ringing them, as this loan is still being paid off.

we called the Halifax and they said that the latest loan has no PPI on it. This left us scratching our heads and so we came to the conclusion that the contact with the Halifax over claiming the PPi on previous loans/CCs has indeed triggered this letter. my wife tried calling the number on the letter but was on hold for ages and eventually gave up waiting.....strange letter to recieve !

As we said earlier, the only way to be sure is to ask. However, since it doesn't affect your ongoing PPI complaint and your current loan doesn't even have PPI, I'd say it's safe to assume it's just an administrative error.

thats pretty much how we see it :)
  • I went into the bank with my letter and brouchure and they were not aware of the letters getting issued. Financial Advisor advised me to ignore it as hopefully will be sorted it once my claim is finalised. Always abit wary when they say that!
