Large conservatory, change to extension. Requirements?

Yes, another conservatory question - sorry!
Looking for ideas to change a large conservatory (currently no door between the buildings, if that's important?) into a proper extension. No change of size (although possibly smaller) or roof height. Presumably PD will have been covered? (It's not our house yet!)
Would I need both PP and building regs?
Many thanks for any advice.

If there are no doors between the two then technically its not a conservatory as they require external grade doors to the main house.
What are you actually wanting to do? Knock down and rebuild?0 -
Thanks. Yes, it is a 'typical,' what I would call 80's style, conservatory, with a definite hole in the wall, no door, through to a kitchen. I would take it down and rebuild something of a more permanent modern structure.0

If it's under 30 sq mtrs and doesn't extend your property over a certain % of it's original plan, then it doesn't need PP. The fact that you are knocking down and rebuilding the same of smaller should remove the last point.
BC become involved if you cut into the house walls and also install new fixed electrics, but not normally for the actual structure.
That was correct last Nov when I completed mine but still needs checking.;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
