How can anyone rack up £000's on loads of different credit cards? I have just been turned down for three! I only want to balance transfer £1000 - the problem is I rented a house before I bought, so I have two addresses within 2 years. The fact that I earn +£30k p.a. and have been with my present company 17 years obviously hasn't been taken into account. Anyone know of another card company I can try?

Have a look at your credit reports and see what's on there as a starter. No point in applying randomly.0

as per zx81, check out your credit report (statutory versions not the ones with a meaningless credit score) to see whats there..
Also 3 applications in a short time is also likely to have affected your later applications.. As the later ones wouldnt know if credit was offered or not..0 -
Will depend on your credit report, I moved house and was able to get credit straight away at my new property.
Moving house doesn't effect your score that much.0
