Holiday park suggestions please

Hi
I've been searching online for the past couple of days and getting nowhere (good price = bad reviews etc), we've not collected any Sun tokens
would appreciate any suggestions to get something booked!
We are a family of 4 inc DS aged 5 and newborn baby. What (i think) we are looking for is
3 or 7 day break from 24/25th August at a child friendly holiday park, Haven type thing. Kids club, playground etc. Near a nice beach but ok if need to drive to one.
Would really prefer not to be in a caravan, we stayed in a chalet at Woolacombe Bay a few years ago (and thats a possibility but quite expensive on their website)
3 hrs max from Midlands (G Yarmouth, Skegness, Weston SM)
Budget - well looks as though we'll need to spend +£300. would prefer to spend a little more for something nice if needs be.
I've seen the Daily Mail offer but it looks nearly as dear as booking direct anyway?
Any recommendations please?

Everything will be expensive as you are going in school hols. Have a look on Hoseasons website, they have some nice lodges although there are not many near a beach and they may be over your budget. Im searching for a lodge that alllows a dog preferably near to a beach and I am struggling!!! Good luck www.hoseasons.comTo be in your child's memories tomorrow, be in their life today.0

I've always found the Parkdean ones good, but as has been said during the school holidays is a nightmare to find a good price. Good luck with your search0

Lydstep Beach in Tenby (my geography is not great but think its within 3 hours) private vans available on www.lydstepcaravanhire.co.uk or they have a facebook page where you may find a special offer
2010 Wins: Benecol Bag For Life, £150 FCUK Voucher, Rimmel Foundation, L'oreal Mascara, £60 worth of hair products, £100 :j0 -
We have stayed at Golden Coast Holiday Park which is reasonably close to Woolacombe beach and they tend to run specials just before the school holidays, best bet is to check their website as this is how we booked last year holiday which was a few days before schools broke up.Kids had a fab time too with all the free facilities.0

I wouldn't write a park off on reviews from the internet. By my own thought process, if the reviews account for 10% of the visitors(which is probably a very generous allocation) had a poor enough experience that they had to inform the world about it, then 90% didn't.
The haven at great yarmouth is good for the kids, though it is a caravan site, it has direct access to a beach, and the town is within walking distance. There is a "land train" too.
£300 is a bit lean for a prime time holiday, though have a look at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/prmts/article-2118180/Fabulous-Summer-Holidays-just-20-person.html you may pick up a good deal from there.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Thanks everyone, think we need to up the budget and get somewhere with lots to do onsite in case the weather stays awful
I'm not getting any joy with 7 nights on the Daily Mail offer.....0 -
For me either its Alton Towers or Thorpe park . They both are good and value for money , yes the catering is expensive but there is nothing to stop you by taking a packed meal, and personally i would like to suggest you to go there ...

Park Resorts Kessingland Beach nr Lowerstoft is really nice, direct beach access and loads of things to do in the area, nightime entertainment for kids is excellent0

Hoburne Torbay lovely site. 10 minute walk to the beach plenty to do on and off site. But prices in kiddies holidays are sky high.
Also a few years ago we stayed has a family of 5 in Paignton in a self catering flat. Kimberley holiday flats it cost us £240 for 7 days. It was 2 minutes away from the beach and child friendly. places. Cost us about £350 for train from Stoke and accommodation.
Paignton is a cracking holiday.0
