Husband has died - need new HI - does 'his' count

We have alway held insurance in my husbands name - had a small claim last year . I now need my oen insurance - do I need to declaire that claim or am I technically a new insurer?

    It will depend on exactly how the question is worded.

    Have you tried speaking to the existing Insurers as they will often transfer it into the widows name in these circumstances.
