Just waiting to see what they say when asked if they have contacted the relative MP's saying that they grossly overestimated the numbers. They have admitted the were wrong, on facebook, but have they elsewhere?

"The BPA neither misled the government not are they an 'old boys club'. There are in fact as many women working in the parking profession as men"

Yeah, I saw that too. Is the BPA just unable to tell the truth about anything? Perhaps 100% non-stop bullsh*t about anything and everything is all part of the 'Masterplan'.

I'm pretty sure that 99% of all clampers are men. Possibly you might get some female ticketers but to be honest I've not seen any. Even proper CEOs tend to be male these days, I think.

Perhaps another FOIA request might be made to the SIA about clampers and to a few London and non-London boroughs asking about the gender (and racial/ethnic background?) of the CEO ticketers that their subcontractors have working for them. No reason to suspect that the ticketers employed by PPCs would have any different proportion of males v females than the CEOs employed by NSL or whoever, is there?

    Reply.
""We are in constant contact with government departments and officials and have been for a number of years. Those that need to know are aware that these figures were at best estimates. We're not the first to make a mistake and wont be the last. As for credibility, I doubt we've ever been seen that way by the public and probably never will""

    Thats a NO then.

They will be coming back (maybe) when they have (thought up) an answer.

165 AOS members so at the low end it would be 218 claims at at the other end 545 claims per member. Given most of the big boys don't issue claims I think the office cleaner must have dreamt up that estimation.

Why thanks, thought they might take it down, seems they have worked out the ethos of Wiki
I think not. They are just concerned that the page will be deleted and they'd lose the entry (they perhaps think confers some form of legitimacy) - I wouldn't be surprised if it was deleted anyway as it hardly meets the notability criteria - having been warned on numerous occasions by editors that the page was not the BPA's but a page about the BPA.

The article still requires a degree of editing and I'd be tempted to do it myself but I fear it will be for nought, for the above reason. There are other perfectly legitimate ways of dealing with any Wiki presence the BPA or other PPC-inclined body might be tempted to put up. ;)
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
