Which insurance??? HELP!

Hi Guys,

My partner and I are in the process of buying our first home (shouldn't be long now!!). The only thing baffling us at the minute is which insurance we need in terms of life insurance, critical illness, income protection mortgage protection!?!?!?

Obviously life assurance is a must but it is a bit of a toss up between critical illness and mortgage and income protection. Just wondered if someone could clarify the best option for us please.

We are both 24 and working full time.

Thanks in advance, Carl

but it is a bit of a toss up between critical illness and mortgage and income protection.

Chances are you need all of these. Some may be higher in priority than others depending on circumstances.

Any local IFA should be fine. https://www.unbiased.co.uk is the database to search for local ones.

Fully agree with dunston, however i would say that if you were to take out income protection you may not need mortgage protection.

Due to the options available, if your not sure its best to speak to an advisor, they can work to a budget and guide you to the options they think are most important.
