Employer changing mileage payments to leave people out of pocket, any recourse

Just to clarify wasn't suggesting you were abusing the system as you said yourself it didn't affect you that much. Any averaging kind of system unfortunately will have winners and losers0 -
My company car fuel is funded as yours originally was and it is the fairest system as you both pay exactly what the fuel costs.
The difference for me is that I have (company supplied) a special version of a TomTom sat nav, TomTom Work. I have to have it on and in work mode for all business trips and it logs them to a website the company can access as well as me. It is impossible to fiddle business mileage so no reason for the company not to pay its share of the months fuel bill.
how many people are affected? perhaps you could suggest having these? they have other useful features, the detailed trip reports make doing your mileage claim easy and it has the live traffic avoidance as part the deal, the office can send you text messages on it, it does handsfree and can even Google a location on the internet if your having trouble finding it. I thought it a bit big brother at first but if you have nothing to hide you get used to it. Oh and of course it does navigate as well!0 -
I suppose the other thing you could do is argue that if the new system is so "fair" then turn it round so they pay all the costs and you give them 15p per personal mile0
