"insurable interest"

Hi ,

Can someone help please.

Iam looking to get a refund on insurance premiums my Wife paid to insurance company for redundancy insurance. 3 years worth ..

The thing is my Wife had notified insurance company in writing that she was made redundant and premiums were to stop being taken for this element - we thought that was it but insurance co cont taking d/d payments for 3 years knowing my Wife was unemployed .

Are they under any obligation to refund payments .

I have looked online and Im not sure if "insurable interest" comes into play as there was no insurable interest as my Wife wasn't working.

Thanks
