Hotel for in August in and around London

I'm going to the challenge cup final at Wembley on friday 24th, and saturday 25th of August. I've stayed at Park lane before and past 2 years I've been going to Watford.

Does anyone have any recommendations because I've looked at a few sites so far. Central London would be good, but We have stayed in watford past few seasons as it's easy to get to and from Wembley stadium on the Saturday.

I'm not exactly a regular visitor to london, but I've just been looking at the Hilton docklands riverside. It will probably be for 6 adults...2 double rooms. Not prepared to pay anything stupid, but at the same time, I want a half decent place to sleep. We've yet decided if we're going to take the train or go in cars, that will probably depend on the location of the hotel.
