Aqua Card on credit file look bad to others?

Hi all
I've recently got the Aqua 3% cashback reward credit card but was wondering, would having a sub prime credit card on my credit file look bad to other providers & potentially deter them from offering me their services?

Thanks alot

No. They won't see which card it is.
  • I've just applied 20 mins ago for the cash back card at the end it said system was down call or try again later, so not sure if my details have gone through or not.

    Lenders will see:

    Type: Credit card
    Limit History: £500 (or whatever)
    Balance History: £0
    Cash advances: £0
    Start date: xx/xx/xx
    Credit history: U

So it'll have the same affect as any other credit card.

And the name of the lender!

Not true. Have a read of Experian's view....

Interesting. Does that apply to the other agencies?

And what about searches? Experian say:

You also see a record of all the searches of your report, regardless of the reason, whereas lenders usually only see searches carried out for credit-granting purposes

Yes, lenders will only see credit searches (eg. you applying for a credit card), but they will not see non-credit related searches such as identification. They will not see who searched. Just that a search occured for type 'x'.

Just to add, they also cannot see financial associate searches, ie those searches made when your partner (or anyone else whom you are financially associated with via a joint mortgage, current account, loan, etc) applies for credit in their own name.
