Credit card in credit, when do they pay this back?

I paid off my credit card fully recently, but then the minimum payment direct debit went through the next day. So my card is now about 35 pounds in credit. I will not be spending on this card again, so when will they pay back this money?

It's a Barclaycard.

You have to ask them as they don't know you won't be using it again.

If you have an on-line account send them a secure message. Ask them to send it to your bank account and give them sort code and account number.
The (probably) quicker alternative is to spend it on petrol, groceries.

The easiest instant way to get it back is just buy some petrol/groceries. Then at least youre not waiting for the cheque to come through the post, which could take up to 30 days.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • Who's it with? This happened to me twice before. Tescos offered me a cheque within 21 days so I just spent the amount in a shop to take it to zero. However, last week I was £28 in credit with Sainsburys - they refunded it back to me in 2 days directly to my bank :)

    Barclaycard.

I've emailed them from my account page to ask for it to be paid directly to my current account.
