    This is impossible to quantify simply because any savings made on purchases for example may well be cancelled out by the fact people buy more just because it's a bargain.

    I know I was guilty of that when I first came here and even now have to guard against the urge to spend just because something good has been posted.

    So for me, I genuinely believe I have spent more than I would have if I had never found out about MSE.

    That is clearly not an MSE issue, the issue is solely with me, but I do believe I'm not alone and others feel this way too.

    So I don't think it is straightforward and as simple as' how much have you saved' for many of us.

    I'm not sure how MSE could have been expected to foresee the collapse of any particular company.
    Surely consumers need to accept final responsibility for their own transactions.

    I generally agree with your comments above

    However I think the point that myself and some of the other victims of the CCE collapse are making are;

    ML via MSE website certainly did his bit in "recommending" CCE as a "top pick" in terms of currency exchange companies, obviously none of us know, or would wish to comment on, if such a positive endorsement led to any financial gain for the website.

    Since the collapse of CCE, ML and the MSE site have done next to nothing to assist in, or even support the victims campaign.

    Finally imho I think that ML started this thread on here (as well as on Facebook) as a "how great am I?" thread and didn't expect to get the kind of response he's had, particularly on Facebook, where many CCE creditors / victims have given their views on exactly how much they've "gained" from his advice.

    I hope that posts within this thread, as well as FB comments are not removed / censored, as I'm sure that ML/MSE (as well as the new owners) are always keen to receive constructive feedback.

    I have to admit to having some cynical thoughts along those lines and wondered if the topic was linked to the site takeover in some way.
