Best value Combi boiler

The time has finally come to replace the old Vaillant boiler in a rental property. What is a good brand /model to choose in it's place?
I am looking for a good up front cost but also easy/cheap servicing ongoing. I have been told that my own Vaillant condensing boiler needs new door seals every 3 years ideally, which seems crazily expensive.

    Vaillant are very good boilers.

The official line from Vaillant is that the burner seal should be changed every five years, or whenever the burner is removed.

Some change them every year to earn more money, some do it every 5 years.

I change them every 3 years, as I do not believe that the combustion chamber should be left uninspected for 5 years, but that is just my opinion.

For rental/landlord property's, I fit the Potterton Gold HE range.

Very good value for money and standard service costs annually, but, upon inspection, there is still a chance of a new burner seal being needed.

Slightly more expensive, but a lot better boiler is the Broag Avanta Plus range.

The new exclusive model comes with a standard 5 year parts & labour warranty.

Question off the back of this.

Is this covered under Vaillants 5 year parts and labour warranty if you do it at 3 years?

No, its classed as a service component.

I do not come across many Vaillant boilers that have the 5 year warranty around my area.

Agree with G4Y, Potterton Gold range are excellent value for money.

Oh and Potterton are now offering a Potterton Titanium, its a little extra but comes with a 5 year warranty instead of 2 year, integral clock and standard flue just like the Gold.

Thanks for these replies. I have found a good installer who uses the Potterton Gold, will ask him about the newer model with 5 year warranty.
