I suggest you write to Lloyds TSB and tell them that you will take the matter to FOS if you do not receive your redress within 14 days.

If they have paid it they will almost certainly then say so.

Once that happens, you can then complain that they allowed a cheque in joint names to be paid into a single account.

Was it a joint account or an account in his sole name that the cheques were paid into?

hi in reply to above no i haven't signed anything at all , first i knew was when offer of payment was sent.

no he claims they have been paid into his sole bank account as we have been divorced for 6 years and no longer have a joint bank account

i have written a complaint to the bank but have to wait 8 weeks apparently before fso get involved , in the mean time all the money could be gone .

    cheers
