Cancel the bid and move on.
If the buyer doesn't want it, he'll only pretend it never arrived and do a chargeback against you. Then you'll lose the item and the money, and probably get bad feedback too.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

I've had this happen. A bidder watching several similar items and bids on the wrong one when two or three are ending at the same time. I took his word for it and cancelled transaction.
Go to 'resolve a problem' then 'I want to cancel a transaction' then pick 'buyer bid by mistake' or something like that (the top of the list on the drop down menu). The buyer then cancels in responce to the email E*ay sends and you get your fees back.

You can't cancel a bid once auction has finished.
The option suggested above to do a mutual relies on bidder confirming that is what they want to do- you choose the option 'I want to cancel transaction' and buyer is sent a simple yes /no option by ebay. If they confirm yes, then transaction is cancelled, you get your FVFs back and you both are still able to leave feedback. If buyer says no, then you lose your FVFs and they can stilll eave feedback. If buyer does nothing it automatically closes in your favour after 7 days.
Alternatively you can wait 4 days and start a full NPB, close it 4 days later if buyer hasn't paid and then buyer can't leave you feedback.
You only get one choice of what to do from the two options above.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
