On saturday DH, myself and 3 kids are going to the ideal home exhibition. Has anyone got any suggestions of where we can eat (lunch or dinner) either inside or outside olympia itself.
I could do with advice on coupons etc as I get the feeling this is going to be an expensive trip!
We are staying in Slough so will have to drive partially into London, any ideas of where to park cheaply and get underground, bus etc.
All money saving ideas very welcome.
Many thanks

Hi
The show is at Earls Court, not Olympia!!
Car parking is expensive! - 6-10 hours at Earls Court costs £24.
Would suggest you use public Transport
Plenty of places to eat inside the Show - not cheap, but then again, this is London!0 -
there are residential streets you can park in around Earls court, if you come in on the A4 and go over the Hammersmith flyover, carry on the duel carrageway but stay in the left hand land, go past the turning for Barons Court tube and then turn left (opposite the worlds end pub I think it's called, the pub has this amazing curved glass window) as soon as you have turned left then take the next right and you will be in streets that are made up of mansion houses etc, you can park on these streets. walk onto the a4 and get to the big Tescos, cross the a4 and walk down the road opposite tescos, this takes you to earls court, it is quiet a walk but do-able
the other option is that you park somewhere like hammersmith multistorey then get to the district line and go on the tube to earls court, this will probably be the cheapest and easiest option
as for eating, if you are going on the tube then if you come out at the earls court end (not the exhibition end) you are in the main high street, plenty of places there to eat
wear good walking shoes with you0 -
Yes, I agree with poe.tuesday, (reminds me of the excellent "POP-OFF TUESDAY") plenty of choice for food at the Earls Court Road exit of the tube station.Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. - Proust0
