At the moment i'm not paying anything towards my debts, these are all with debt collection agencies and the balance has remained the same. I don't have much left at the end of the month. I'm looking for ways that I can cut my outgoings.

£106 for landline and mobile? Why so high? You can get international calls for 1p a minute. Mobile plans can be quite low and have inclusive minutes to mobiles. Unlimited calls to landlines from the home phone can be added on for £5 a month. Landline rental and broadband is usually under £20 a month.
You need to put something for car maintenance.
Do you have water rates or is that included with council rates? And...is the gas and electric halved with someone else in the property?
You have nothing left yet your SOA says you have £174 a month so it's going somewhere.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Stop using your land line, £60 a month is horrendous or have you made a mistake and it is that per quarter ie £20 a month.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I've popped a few suggestions on, would suggest getting a spending diary and jot everything down, you may find that there are spends that you aren't allowing for.
Have you heard anything from debt companies re the money owed, if you get stuck it may be worth looking at cccs, as you may need some specialised advice re the debts,xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Water is included in Council Tax, council tax is deducted straight from my wages as I work for them. So I can't change that.
Sorry the money for the landline includes, tv, broadband and landline. I am already on the cheapest package with sky.
When I renew car insurance i will def look around.
I have just moved into my new house so the tv license is £30 for the first 6 months.0 -
The cheapest package with Sky is £20 per month. They have been doing half price deals recently so that should have cut it to £10 a month. It doesn't add up to £60 per month.Stuckinarut wrote: »Water is included in Council Tax, council tax is deducted straight from my wages as I work for them. So I can't change that.

Even though you are physically paying £30 a month for the TV license you still put £13 down on the SOA. It's a budget not an ever changing cashflow statement. You have the option of paying quarterly in advance at £40 every 3 months or £145.50 every year which is all about £13 a month.:footie:

What I noticed was phone at 60 , even with the basic sky package , sky landline rental with all 01,02,03 numbers at any time and unlimited broadband is £45 a month, probably save a tenner as a light user (2Gb) and evening and weekend calls..
The mobile bill seemed high but are you stuck with that? One option is to go PAYG and default, add to your creditirs
Finally TV at £30,
Then I noticed £100 per month food, not a lot, and nothing for clothes, going out. Remember that !00 has to include cleaning products washing powder etc
Good luck0 -
Telephone (land line)................... 60
This can't be the lowest sky package, even inc BB and L'Line.
Mobile phone............................ 46
I take it you're still in a contract? If so cancel it as soon as you can and get a £10 a month SIM only deal.
TV Licence.............................. 30
This should be £12 a month, you need to get the annual cost and divide it by 12.
Groceries etc. ......................... 100
Although this is do able (just), it does seem quite low, especially if it is food, inlcuding work lunches, AND all other household items, are you sure this is a realistic figure?
Clothing................................ 0
You need something in here, even if it's only £10 a month.
What would you do if you wore a hole in your work shoes, for example?
Presents (birthday, christmas etc)...... 0
Again, are you sure this is realistic? Surely you must have bought someone a birthday / christmas presant last year?
Haircuts................................ 0
Do you never pay for a hair cut...EVER?
Entertainment........................... 0
Not realistic I'm afraid. Do you never, ever, go to the pub, got to the cinema, get a take away or eat out with friends?
Emergency fund..........................
You have to have something in here, even if it's £10 a month. EVERYONE has the odd unexpected expense.
Do you REALLY need the car? A lot of people have them and could quite easily do without them. It is costing you a large chunk of your wages that you could be using towards paying off your debt. Is there not a bus / train route that you could use to get to work?0 -
Stuckinarhen were your loan/cc taken out?
Could be important0 -
Don't speak to CCCS, go to CAB.
IF OR guidelines are applied to your SOA then you have less than £50 left, you look as if you qualify for a DRO.
Last thing you need to do is live on bread and cheese (listen to people on here who will tell you to cut back here and there, your creditors who make millions per month are more important than you are??????)
If not, then at least CAB are truly impartial and can point you in the right direction.0 -
Gimps dad I will say it for you, go to all about debt (google it) it;s where the consumer comes first as opposed to the financial institutionsDon't speak to CCCS, go to CAB.
