I am not a fan of debt avoidance, if you can pay your debt then you should.

The question for me is how do you pay it? What solution do you pick?

That is down to the debtor, but all debtors should have all solutions in front of them, pros, cons, etc, AND A DECENT PERIOD BEFORE THEY DECIDE.

It isn't rocket science to suggest that an online analyser doesn't fit the bill, nor is it unfair to reason that waiting 3 to 4 weeks for a CAB appointment, even if you are not in North East Derbyshire who are actually very good by all accounts, is ideal. You may find yourself with a volunteer who has the best intentions at heart but who may not know all the options.

Best advice? Speak to lots of people, especially ones who are not paid by creditors, and then make your own mind up.

I was not talking about debt avoidance and I feel that is a very immotive word.
However if a bank is unable to follow the law and as a result the agreement is unlawful and you are changed circumstances then go for it.
I do not think anyone I know of would condone deliberately taking on debt to then try not to pay it
