Miami - Does humidity matter?

I've noticed that late July- August Miami has really high humidity. Assuming though that the cars, hotels, shopping malls and restaurants all have aircon - does it matter?
I'm not much of a beach person and won't be doing any theme parks which would involve queing outdoors.

Do you like that sore/dried throat feeling that aircon can give you?

When i've stayed in places like Greece which have aircon on then it hasn't bothered me, but Greece is a dry heat.
The only humid place i've ever been was Portugal in August and that was horrendous but we only had fans - no aircon. I was hoping that another humid place (Miami) with aircon would sort of balance things out? What sort off issues come with humidity (apart from the sweating and frizzy hair!)?

Depending how hot and humid, you can get very wet and sticky very very quickly, I always head for a Big Airy Room.
Peoples clothes get wet and cling to them :D and it CAN be most uncomfortable, time for several showers per day.
This all depends on how hot and how humid.
