Why do you need life insurance?
Im asking you this question, i know the answers as to why people need life insurance in general but why do you think you need life insurance? What made you think about it?
If i was with a client, i would have done a factfind and i would be telling them why they need life insurance (if they did). Advisors on here havnt done a factfind on you so we cant "advise" as such, we can help you along the path though.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Ok.
How much do you think will be needed for a funeral?
How much do you think you will need to provide for your child? Will this be for uni, living costs, to provide whoever looks after your child an income or lump sum?
How old is your child? How long before you expect him/her to stand on their own feet?
Sorry i know its loads of questions, its just things to think about to hopefully help you get to where you want to be.
If this isnt helping and your not getting to an answer then you might be best to speak to a mortgage or financial advisor?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. No. Advice on regulated financial products would not be possible. We can discuss, comment and offer opinion but no-one can give advice.
The above have asked some good questions you need to consider. However, it really comes down to whether you feel you can DIY or not. If you cannot then you should use an IFA or independent mortgage adviser (not an FA/tied agent - such as the banks).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
