Vinci

A local shopping centre car park is operated by Vinci and the signs at the entrance are so inadequate. The text is approximately 5mm high and is unreadable from 6 feet, the closest I could stop my car. There are multiple "Pay and display" signs around the car park but nothing to say what the T+C's of parking are. What exactly are the BPA's signage rules in their code? I'm not sure if Vinci is acting in a council capacity or purely private.

Vinci have held council contracts but are mainly private and in a store car park, I would tend to think they are acting as a PPC. They got kicked-off the contract for the hospital here a couple of years back after some seriously incompetent misbehavior and along with their past conviction for corporate manslaughter and ongoing support for some pretty reprehensible political causes yes, it seems they are shonky as anything.

I would tend to Ignore totally myself. :)

And the BPA's rules on sinage don't matter because they don't have any kind of official standing outside their own imaginings.

Every sign is deemed acceptable to the BPA, no matter how small or illegible. Read this: Dodgy signs

The BPA did nothing about the poor signage at the Peel Centre, even after it was heavily criticised by the Judge in the case of Martin Cutts. I think the only time they might do something is if Patrick Troy caught another member rodgering his wife!:D

Can someone please tell me how to get the phrase "parking in an unauthorised location" out of my mind? :)
