Ninth Anniversary 100 Posts Combo Breaker
Please forgive me but I know nothing about cars but the indicator to turn left on my peugeot 206 keeps on coming on by itselfs when I'm driving along,what is causing this and is it something I could correct easily myself.

    you probally have a faulty rearlight, causing a bad earth.

    Have a look at rear bulb holder connections, maybe just need a clean with some contact cleaner/ wire brush

    faulty stalk if dash light comes on aswel, bad earth would light up your cluster like a Christmas tree

    Faulty stalk. Not sure how a bad earth can cause the light to come on by itself.

    Unless it only happens when the headlights are on or when you brake etc.

    Similar problem on my old picasso, was a faulty stalk - £20 off ebay and half an hour to fit

    I have a transit van and the indicator kept coming on when I braked. Was a bad earth and Ihad to change the rear light cluster.
    Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

    bit excessive, normally quick rub with emery cloth and a dab of grease is enough

    COMMs 2000 - you need to get the part number for your particular car and find a replacement on Ebay - brand new they are very expensive (£200+)
