4 weeks to completion and DG window now has condensation in it

We are 4 weeks away from completion on the sale on our house and we have noticed that the window in the back bedroom has got condensation showing in the main part of the window. We have had the windows in for about 7 years with never a problem!

Any ideas?

Are they not under guarantee? We have a 10 year one on ours.

Have you exchanged? If so it's your buyer's problem!

I would think that, whether you've exchanged or not, it's your buyer's problem - unless they notice before exchange in which case they can ask you to get it sorted as a condition of exchange.

I agree. Don't worry about it. We had this happen to us however it was there right from viewing stage. I was prepared to have it put right however it was never picked up from the survey or the buyers so I let it go. Never heard anything since. No house is ever perfect and there will always be work to be done when you move in.

If you have the guarantee it wont cost you anything to get fixed. The same thing happened to me & I got it fixed as the guarantee wasn't transferable to the new owners. Just took a call. Oh & obviously a visit to put the new panel in!

We tried to claim in a new house when it was 6 years old to be told the "window" bit of the window was only covered for 5 years as it's a common fault.
