car insurance question..

My policy ends next months so trying to be organised I looked for quotes, found a good policy with octagon..

Purchased it, kept saying please wait then lappie window went off..

Checked bank and full payment has come out, no emails received and they aren't open tonight..

I'm really worried, am I insured or have I got to try to get my cash back it's £600...

Thanks

If it does not start for awhile, then you will have cover with the current company, so what is urgent now ? Just email Octagon or phone them Monday to find out if the policy registered ok, as your Laptop turned off before the end of the process.

Your bank won't do this, if you used a debit or credit card, as you have to have a valid reason for doing so. They will tell you to contact the supplier of goods or service to sort out. For distance selling contracts, you have a minimum of 7 days cooling off period, but Insurers normally allow 14 days. Although you won't be charged for a time on risk as the policy has not started, you may have to pay a cancellation charge. ( I don't like this either, but Insurers are able to cover their admin costs for cancellation).
