Lloyds no offers for me !

Hi,
Looking for a little bit of help with Lloyds.

I have had a current account with them since 2008 which I have run fine, never a missed Payment or charge, but although I have a full current account I can’t get a overdraft or Credit Card with them. I have two defaults, one drops of on Tuesday and the other in October.

Once these drop off will I then start to get offers online like others do or must I just look elsewhere for Credit Products.

Thanks

you obviously have a problem with credit if you have 2 defaults, Why do you want credit if your not going to pay it back?

Wait until the defaults have gone - 6 years

Then wait another couple of months after the credit file is clear before applying. They don't do real time updates to their computer systems and are about a month behind with updates around the 20th of the month.

No offers appear on Lloyds TSB for me either on internet banking, but once the credit files are cleared of the defaults they may consider you if you've run your accounts well with them if you just apply.

Do you not even get the offers for an isa?

Apparently if you take an upto date credit report into a branch and ask them to forward it to higher lending they will manually review the markers on your account.

I'm not sure how that would work if you have any adverse data though.

Was told by Lloyds TSB advisers that I had to wait for the monthly updates to go through.

To date my credit file has been nice and green for 6 months now. Still no offers appear online for me, though I have their ISA and credit card so probably have nothing they can offer I guess.

Well I get an offer for an overdraft but I've never had one for a credit card. I was looking at maybe doing a balance transfer. I was told that I've got a marker which prevents me from being offered one however apparently this marker comes off on 20th July so I'll see what happens after then.

I have a OD on the main account, not used, and the option to apply in green on the other two vantage accounts I have with them. But it's not actually shown as a offer.

Good luck, I'd leave it a couple of days after the 20th just to be safe.

Thanks I'll let you know what happens the woman in lending told me I could apply from 21st onwards as the marker goes on the 20th.

I'd give her a call on Monday and check everything is fine before applying :-)

Apply too soon and you get locked out for another month at least.

Just an update very random got a call off the woman I spoke to last week today to say she had applied a £300.00 overdraft to my account.

Sounds like whatever marker was there is now gone. Might be worth calling up about the credit card if you've not already done so.
