We've stayed at Acorn Lodge lots of times.

    They have quad rooms.

Their website is not geared up to booking accommodation after a holiday but if you email them, they'll give you a quote.

We like staying on Massetts Road, it's close to Horley town centre where there are lots of restaurants and a Wetherspoons.

There are lots of guest houses on Massetts Road (where Acorn Lodge is) including the one in post # 10 (Gatwick Turret).

    Google 'guest houses gatwick'.

holidayextras.co.uk allows you to choose parking + hotel for either the night before you fly or the night when you return.

Yep. I do this quite regularly. My return flights tend to arrive late and I like to enjoy the last few hours of my trip with a few drinkies on the plane without worrying about driving home immediately.

The only thing to watch with Gatwick compared to Heathrow is that the transfer buses from the hotels can be very infrequent so you may have to factor in the cost of a taxi each way.

I recently got the Copthorne Effingham for 10 days parking + a night on the return for £89 though a HolidayExtra "secret hotel" deal. The hotel had seen better days but I was only there to sleep.
  • Hi thanks to everyone for the advice, we decided to book the expedia secret hotel then book the parking separately (meet and greet) that way we won't have to pay for the shuttle or a taxi :)

you wouldnt have had to pay for shuttle or taxi at the turret as the owner takes you to airport and picks you up on return and no waiting as you phone when you have your luggage and she is there waiting for you when you get out
  • Hi, DH looked at this one but said the room is nearly £80 to sleep 4 so we booked with expedia and got a quad room for only £56! bargain :)
