A+L Three Year Capital Guaranteed Bond 1

Hi i have a couple of ISAs and wish to open a new one for 07/08. I dont need the money for now and can invest it for 3 yrs. I recently went into my A+L branch and noticed this Mini ISA '3 YR Capitol Bond 1' with Legal And General. It has a rate of at least 9% over the 3 yrs. I was thinking of transferring my other ISAs into this and adding a further £3000 into it which will amount to £11,000 in total. It seems a great offer, i havnt seen a rate as high as 9% anywhere. I cant seem to find any information or advice about this offer in the forums. Can anybody please offer any advice?
Thankyou.
Thankyou.

Rubbish Product, if you thought equity markets are going to perform cash why would you go for this product and not a regular fund. If you thought equity markets were going to underperform cash, why go with a product that offers an annual return of 2.9% rather than an ISA paying 6.5%?
The 9% is over 3 years, not 1.0 -
Ah i see now its 9% gross and 2.91 AER. How stupid of me. Doh!0

I guess my best bet is Barcleys with 'new money' and transfer my existing ISAs into the best 'transfers in' ISA.
Thanks for pointing that out Tom0
