If you're around on 21st & 22nd July then Rhyl Airshow is taking place. There are free displays on the ground on the seafront and you can watch the flying displays for free by finding somewhere to sit on the beach.

Unfortunately we leave on the Friday, otherwise the air show wouldve been a great find !

I am driving, and got historic scotland passes which I can use at Conwy castle.....

Looks like its going to be raining next week though :-(

Don't worry about the rain, there is still plenty to do. Also That part of the coast is weird. It can be raining in Flint and the sun baking the pavement in Colwyn bay. Was there last Thursday. on business. was pouring down by caerwys on A55, 18 deg and sunny in Rhos on sea.

Defo go to Llandudno, lovely place. Go up the great Orme on the tram, doesn't matter whether it is raining or not, still nice and Bracing up there ! Loads of shops there to get out of rain.

Presthaven sands.... Brings back good childhood memories. Used to have a caravan there when we were kids. Spent 6 weeks summer hols there, digging in sand dunes and riding our bikes through to taleacre ,through the old chalets that were built after the war. I wonder if that little bakery is still there across the main road and up the hill opposite? Used to love it there.

    Enjoy yourself !
