Bank account under DRO

Options
Don't know what to do, I have a basic bank account where funds where allowed out on a 'not there' balance  so now included in a debt relief order which has been approved and as I understand the account will be likely closed (according to the approved intermediary) I get that

My problem comes that I know I have an £8 charge to pay by end of the month from a statement now received, and really not sure where I stand in regards to putting it in the soon to be suspended/repo'd account, on top of the account balance now listed on the DRO

I've tried dealing with the bank and their central telephone line but am getting no where - my account is also under investigation until a certain date though so far I've only had an acknowledgement letter and a lot of waffle though I appreciate this may not come of anything now

Do I wait it out and hope it gets passed to third party or dca,
whats likely to happen?

Thanks in anticipation if anyone has incounted DRO'S with bank accounts, I just don't want to do the wrong thing and make it more worse

I believe that if the charges are incurred after the DRO start date then it will automatically be included in the DRO. For instance, I had a overdraft with Halifax which they were charging me 31 a month for. My DRO started in March and I have a notice every month stating that are adding 31.00 to the amount owed each month. I think they just hope you'll fail the DRO and they obviously don't want to help by any means. If the charge was incurred just before the DRO start date, I would send them a copy of the DRO form which will show them that they are included on it and see what they write back. At worst, you'll need to pay the 8.00 charge. Not a biggy! :)
  • Thanks for replying :) much appreciated

I've started with saving toward the £8 now and will keep it in a seperate pot holding out until the Bank demand comes in I reckon

My DRO has already just been approved so I could be enjoying the calm before the storm!

    Thanks again for reply
