Bank account not showing on credit file

Hi folks,
Applying for a credit card to help build a history before applying for a mortage in a year or two.
Pulled experian credit report, and noticed that my partners current account with overdraft (held for a few years) is not listed. Thus it looks like the only credit history he has is mobile phone contract and virgin media!
His account is with Clydesdale and has always been used responsibly. I've notice my Clydesdale account is listed on mine, even though it has no overdraft.
Is there anyway of rectifying this? Will his "score" increase?

Another thing, I'm wondering if this could be the reason for a decline from barclaycard. When we did the or application check, we stated he had a current account along with all the other information. It told him great news, you got a 90% chance of acceptance for this card.
He then applies, only to be declined. He has no adverse credit history at all. Barclay wouldn't give a reason.0 -
Clydesdale are hit and miss when it comes to listing - my CB account doesn't, and as I don't have an overdraft, fail to see why I would be listed on my 'credit' file.0
