Car Insurance - Massive Increase

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone has any advice regarding the car insurance quotes I am receiving for what will be my 3rd year of driving with no claims.

My premium last year was around £600, yet this year the lowest I seem to be able to get is £750(ish).

I am almost certain that this is due to me moving house around a month ago, however it seems very unfair considering my situation. I previously lived with my parents on what is a very, very quiet road in one of the nicer parts of town, however my car was parked on the street.

My current address is now part of a street which is very busy and very narrow, so I can totally understand how that would be considered a higher risk area than my previous address. The annoying thing is that despite being "part" of that street, my house is actually completely off the main road. It is down a private driveway about 100 yards off the main road, plus my car is now secured in my own private locked garage, whereas before it was on the street.

Like I say, I can totally understand why my new address is included in a high risk area, and I also understand that insurance companies can't really send someone out to check out my property, but does anyone think there's a chance of them lowering the quote if I ring and explain the situation?

I realise I'm clutching at straws but it seems incredibly frustrating that after yet another year of experience and no claims, my insurance is set to rise by a huge amount.

Any advice would be massively appreciated.

    Insurance premiums are rising.

I read somewhere that there are 2.5 personal injury claims for every traffic accident currently....
