Paypal dispute

My daughter had to open a dispute through Paypal for SNAD, silly seller posted glass vases just in the box with no bubble wrap.
It says that it's under review until 26 July, is there anything that she can do to close it sooner or does she have to sit it out?
I should know the answer but don't.

A sensible seller would refund before then, if they don't there isn't a way of speeding up the process.

    I didn't think there was.
Unfortunately the seller is moaning about being out of pocket if she refunds. Don't get me started on that.
She didn't post for ages & then just put the vases into their boxes with no packing materials. Huge panic ensued as they were my daughters wedding table decs & she had to order more with just a couple of weeks to go.
She'll just have to sit it out.

    It is irritating.

I have a colleague (I mentioned it on another thread) who is buying lots of mis matched vases and china for a wedding- so much of the stuff is arrvining damaged and it has amazed both of us how many sellers turn round with comments like 'it's not my fault- it was glass so what do you expect?'.

This buying account is actually going to be closed as soon as the last of the wedding items have been bought and delivered, there have been so many cases opened and poor feedback left for sellers that my colleague thinks she will be be looking as though she is a scammer at a casual glance.

she's had glass vases and tea light holders in a jiffy bag, some in a single bit of bubble wrap and wrapped in wallpaper (soggy nasty broken mess arrived in a RM 'sorry' bag)- it has been astounding.

When it's for something important like your wedding it's so bl00dy annoying.
These were vases that the seller had used for hers so you would think that she would realise how important they were.
One box didn't even get to them, I don't know if the couriers realised they were hauling smashed glass around & ditched them or what but there's no sign of them.
Luckily they did manage to get replacements but she took a couple of weeks to even post them. A really bad seller who will definitely be getting bad FB.

I must admit I did the above with a tape I sent to a penfriend long before the days of eBay. It arrived smashed.

It was a stupid, stupid mistake as it was a favourite of mine and I was lending it to her rather than giving it to her.

Absolutely gutted, and absolutely learned my lesson.
