I did a FP from the Halifax to York/BS yesterday, so far the payment is not showing.
I believe they use NatWest for their system, does anyone know how long it should take to get into York/BS?

When did you do it?
This notice is on their front page.
"Customer notice - Faster payments into customer accounts will be delayed over this weekend. All payments made into accounts over the weekend will be credited by 9am, Monday, 16th July."
My credits to YBS normally turn up the next business day but are back dated.

Thanks for that rapid reply ctdctd,
Approx 7pm last night.
It could show later today
maybe!
I didn`t spot the notice on their site.
For anyone who is interested their 1 year fix @ 3.55% is being pulled this Tuesday 17th July.0 -
It will show Monday I suspect.
Click on More Information on the notice and it says:-
Payments sent to us between 6:00pm Friday, 6th July and 6.00am Monday, 9th July will not be credited to accounts until 9.00am Monday, 9th July.

Just to add, having spoken to York/BS, although the account is pulled on Tuesday, existing holders have until the following Monday to fund it.0

From 2010's post in another thread I believe that "the account" refers to "Yorkshire Building Society one year online bond to 31 July 2013 paying 3.55%".0 -
Yes, not really true faster payments are they. I transferred on 12th, LTSB message said something to effect 'receiving bank cannot guarantee when payment will be credited. I used YBS Chat facility. They said normally next day. I checked next day and it was there, dated the 12th. I suspect your transfer will show Monday, but you might find it not backdated fully.I did a FP from the Halifax to York/BS yesterday, so far the payment is not showing.

Well as pointed out in an earlier post they have had trouble last weekend and this with the FP (techical), which they are trying to sort out.
I sent one payment yesterday and another today, hopefully they will show on Monday at 9am.
Whether they back date fully or not, I`ll post.
My main concern was getting the 3.55% 1 year fix account funded after reading it expires on Tuesday 17th.
Having spoke to them today about the FP problem, they did say although no more applications will be accepted after Tuesday, existing holders have another week to get their accounts funded.
Any half decent rate accounts don`t last long these days before they are pulled.0 -
Having spoken to their customer services department, it appears that faster payments into your Yorkshire/Barnsley account only get there the following day. The funds are held in a Barnsley/Yorshire holding account overnight and only accocated the following day. If my understanding is correct, there is a one day loss of interest charge for using the Barnsley/Yorkshire. This has nothing to so with specific issues over the weekend.0

I sent one on Friday evening (7pm) and one yesterday, both are showing today and dated today in YBS.
These were sent from Halifax but the payment sent yesterday is dated today on the Halifax account and the one sent Friday is dated on Friday.
I tend to go with your view buffman that 1 days interest will be lost with their FP system but maybe more over a weekend.
Having said that even more would be lost using bacs or a debit card.
