Bank of Scotland Credit Card £50 Cashback and poss. Halifax as well

Bank of Scotland have recently launched a new credit card offer. If you open a classic or platinum credit card IN BRANCH between 9 July and 3 Aug and then spend £1000 on it by 31 Oct 12, they will credit your account with £50 by 30 Nov 12 - perfect timing for all the Christmas spending. No Halifax branches near me to check but the lady who served me thought that it is also available in Halifax branches as well.

The Platinum card also offers 0% for 9 months so I reckon this is an excellent deal. :T

cant see anything about this on the website, you said in branch only however they should still be telling people online.

Why? Perhaps they want to promote different offers online to reach a different market.

They have fliers in branch promoted under "offer of the month". Guess if they advertised online people would expect to get the offer online too.

The offer is not available online. Only in branch. That's why there's no online advertising. In order to qualify the £1000 needs to be spent on purchases. Balance transfers do not count.

I would imagine this promotion is to get footfall through the door, given they will have a customer base that goes in branch regular you would think this would be to get the rest through the door.

A lot of people don't go in-branch anymore because of internet banking and/or just being to busy, it would be logical you would advertise the promotion online as thats the area most people would see offers.
