Hello,
I'm considering a DRO and am a little confused.
At the moment I do not have more than £50 left each month after bills etc, but over the next year I hope to be starting work again, and getting back on my feet.
Does it mean that for the 12 months after I've been granted the DRO that I can't have more than 50 left each month in my bank account?
I'm not going to be earning loads, but hope to be a little more comfortable than 50 left each month - for starters I have a baby so would like to be able to save a little for emergencies??
thanks

The £50 per month surplus is by calculating your total net pay less various categories of expenditure.
Your bank account will fluctuate with various amounts over the month and no one monitors this.
You need to put down all of your essential costs - rent, c/tax, gas, elect, water ,tv lic, insurances, etc and then what is reasonable spending on telephone, travel, housekeeping and other.
The bigger the family, the larger the potential allowance for these categories.
You have a duty whilst under a DRO to inform of changes to your income that may affect your assessed disposable income.
