Online Conveyancing recommendations please?

After selling my house recently I have started looking at getting the conveyancing provided by an online option as opposed to a local solicitor, but a quick Google search brings up loads, so how on earth do you pick one?, so just wondering if this as the best option and if so has anybody used a firm recently that they would recommend?

I wouldn't touch an online conveyancer with a barge-pole. Choose a local solicitor, preferably through a personal recommendation0

On-line conveyancing is not that much cheaper than a local solicitor, when you add up all the charges. Some of them give a headline rate which doesn't include all the extras (something similar to cheap airline companies).
Buying/selling a property is a major expenditure anyway so I would always go to a local solicitor. Should there be any complications etc. then easy for you to visit and discuss face to face.
However, if you do decide to take this route then I would recommend you look at sites where others, who have used their services, give reviews. One I know of is https://www.reallymoving.com. but there are bound to be others. I've had some great tradesmen through the online site Really Rated but would reiterate I wouldn't consider online conveyancing myself.0
