Talk Talk Nightmare

Well,

I've just wasted half a day of my life trying to get cancel my talk talk. I ordered it received no router, spent half the day trying to find out where it had gone to be told it had been delivered by a nice woman in an offshore call centre (err no it hasn't). Also that it could take another 5 days to come even though royal mail have it down as delivered?

So decided as I was within the cooling off period of 7 days? it would be better for us to go our separate ways. I mean if they can't get it right to begin with how are they ever going to? Cut a long story short I call to cancel and am cut off then to a UK call centre where the nice lady tell me there is no cooling off period 'we told offcom we don't want to do that' and they would charge me £90 for the privilege.

So i thought this doesn't smell right, I called again spoke to a rather nice chap again offshore was left on hold for 15 minutes and told the earliest he could cancel was the 18/07. I said well that's your business i'm giving you notice that i'm cancelling within the time frame covered by the distance selling regs etc.

I think I may of got away lightly with this one. needless to say I've also sent them an email through their contact form;

Dear Sir/Madam,

Telephone Number: 0121 ******
A/C No: 100*******

Due to my immense disappointment in your service please accept this email as written confirmation of cancellation as per my previous call with Sebastian in your call centre.

As we have not received any equipment to date we will not be sending any back to yourselves.

Icn accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. I would like to confirm that the service has been cancelled with immediate effect within the cooling off period.

If there is any further issues please contact me at *********@gmail.com

Regards,

i hope that does the job as you will see i've just discovered this site and am sure you guys will know whether i've done the job right??
