bank charging me for fraud against me!?!

in Credit cards
Last week I discovered fraudulent transactions on my debit card. I was abroad at the time and amanged to stop the card 2 days after the first transaction. Since then several other transactions have hit my account including one for £300 which has finally put me overdrawn. Barclays have told me that they will set up an overdraft to see me through until the case is assessed and the money credited back to me. As this is my business account they are going to charge me to set it up. They are also going to charge me for going overdrawn (£60 I believe) and charge me again for each transaction returned - cheques, DDs etc, at £35 a time. Now, my problem is that Barclays don't care. They don't care because they know that I am transferring my accounts to RBS next week. Yesterday I had a very arrogant business account manager on the phone demanding to know why I wanted 2 business accounts. I refused to tell her, feeling that it was my business and as I was paying I could do what I liked. Now I have to go back to the same person for this overdraft which I think would have been free if they didn't know I was closing that account in a few weeks. I am reclaiming bank charges (which is why I'm shifting accounts and why I wouldn't tell her why I was opening a new account) but in the meantime my cashflow has stopped and I have no credit, no petrol, no food and the car goes in for a service & MOT on Monday.
Any suggestions?

So by support do you mean the charges the OP is getting???
The only thing i can suggest is to get the RBS to give your business acccount a reasonable overdraft with enough in it to tide you over until Barclays sort it out.0 -
well, it may look like that to you. I had already started to switch banks before this began. I don't see how they are supporting me - they have been very obstructive in setting up any overdraft - manager is unavailable... we'll call you back... can't get anything in place until early next week... etc. etc. They are charging me for going overdrawn when it was a series of fraudulent transactions which put my account overdrawn. The final transaction was for £300 that alone put me £180 OD how can they put that transaction through when it wasn't showing as pending when I cancelled the card and I had no overdraft facility to cover it?
Since the original post RBS have opened an OD for free for £500 to get me through this despite the account being new and empty. Good riddance Barclays!Regards
