I wrote in about ebay sniping a few weeks ago (how quickly we are forgotten). The best site is:-

    http://www.justsnipe.com/

This gives only 5 seconds for someone to get in ahead of you instead of the usual 10 seconds. Better still you do not have to bother with trials or only using it 3 times a week etc, and its free!

my boyfriend uses a program called snipemonkey.

I'm not sure where he got it from but it's brilliant, it's free and really simple to use, you just give it your details, tell it about the bid you want to place and leave it to do the hard work for you. It even allows you to have more than one account (i.e we have one program but we can both place bids through our separate ebay accounts)

Just found it the website is http://www.snipemonkey.com/

    Good luck with it.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

Also don't place any bids at all - until the last few minutes. Placing bids just pushes the price up.

Through "Google" request "auction snipers" there"s plenty to be had.I was recommended to check out these after I"d been outbid for an item from a seller!
Haven"t tried any personally as yet.

    Good Luck.

Never tried sniping, but a good way of avoiding being outbid is to make your maximum proxy bid something like (say) £10.05. A lot of people make their maximum bid £10.01 and it's annoying to be outbid by 1p right at the last minute. If you make your max bit £10.05 then you still are the highest bidder and more often than not the sniper won't have time to make a higher bid!

    Muhahahaha! :D

The apparently newest and most advanced eBay sniping tool is BidSitter at http://bidsitter.com. It also appears to be the simplest to use. Check it out.

"Best New Auction Tool of 2004" -from the BidSitter site.
