What would you do in this situation?

My oh bought 3 items from the same seller without asking about combining postage. Fair enough, his mistake. The seller sent one combined invoice through but charged the full £20 for postage on the invoice.

I then ungrouped the items and paid for each seperately, and put in three seperate delivery addresses (all confirmed on Paypal/Ebay).

A package has now arrived with all items in one package. Would you query with the seller that you paid for 3 lots of postage and requested delivery to 3 different addresses? Would you ask for a refund of the difference?

I was happy to let OH pay for the 3 lots of postage charges (£10, £5 and £5), and receive 3 seperate deliveries, but am slightly miffed he's sent all items in one package to just one address.

Update: After messaging, he has refunded £5 of the £20 postage charge so a nice profit there, plus he didn't address the issue of sending it all to the one address.

Contact the seller - they may be willing to refund on postage costs.

Could you have contacted them before paying for and completing the transaction to revise the invoice and avoid this situation?

Sellers are not required to combine postage but most reasonable ones will.

If you have registered different addresses for delivery and have obviously paid for this then you should expect delivery to the address specified.

Paypal protects you for this scenario but it seems that you have received the items.

If they refuse to give you any refund for postage costs & you have received the goods and are happy with them you can still express your opinion & stars in the feedback that you leave for the transaction.

Why didn't you contact the seller prior to paying, or better still buying?

She shouldn't have needed to, if she wanted deliveries to 3 separate addresses.

You could always give a low DSR rating if you felt they ripped you off so to speak.
