I am travelling to the USA soon and need to take prescription meds with me for migraine prevention and pain relief, these are inderal LA (propanalol hydrochloride) , topiromate, and sumotriptans, and solpadeine and ibuprofen not on prescription. Will this be ok ?

Hello!
We went to via LA and then to Las vegas the end of last year and my husband was travelling with a very large supply of topiramate (so I'm not sure about the rest).
He got his doctor to write him a letter just in case. I think he checked with the airline and that's what they suggested. (I can't exactly remember)
We carried everything in our hand luggage and just declared them at every point and were just waved through. (US customs were surprisingly nice actually!)
Pretty sure you'll be fine! Although check with the airline just to be sure.

My Mam has travelled all over including the USA, with more drugs than the local pharmacy. She always calls the airline(she needs assistance anyway, so she has to call) and asks them and they always tell her it'll be ok but get a doctors letter to be sure and leave pharmacy labels with your name on attached.. She takes similar meds to you and has never had a problem, she even managed to take 2 litres of uht milk through security this year with the aid of a doctors letter as its the most effective means of settling the pain of her gastritis. As Bexm says, just declare them at every point and you shouldn't have a problem.
As for the solpadeine and ibuprofen, I often carry them and never give it a thought. You can buy similar in the states if need be anyway.

and solpadeine and ibuprofen
If you use these on a regular basis, make sure that you stock up when in the US.

(about $9 for 1000 tablets)
Kirkland are a Costco brand, and if you have a UK Costo card, you can use this in the USA0
