Hotels with Disabled Family rooms!

Just looking for anyone who has ever had success booking a family room in a UK hotel (2 adults 2 children) with wheelchair access. From my experience you are expected not to have any children or to book and pay for two rooms! Is this not discrimination? Any good news stories or tips welcome.
Thanks

Have you tried PremierInn?Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

Try having a look at https://www.goodaccessguide.co.uk.
There is some information about hotels that are disabled friendly.
Hope you find something.:)0 -
Have looked at Premier Inn and tried the link Good Access Guide but no luck (for Glasgow). It seems a room can either be accessible or big enough for a family but not both at the same time.
Hope I don't appear to be moaning too much but it does seem to be discrimination when a you have to pay double just because one of your family is disabled.0 -

For a start my understanding is that all doors have to be big enough for a standard wheelchair to go through.
Secondly I always book with the above company - they are cheap and cheerful at best but do have family rooms that are big enough for 4 including a wheelchair.
The family rooms have a double and a bed settee which makes another double/2 singles.
If you have any problems give them a ring.0 -
Thanks, yes I usually use Travelodge especially if I can book in advance and get their cheap rates. Doors are usually wide enough but non accessible bathrooms are literally a pain in the back!0

We have booked disabled rooms with Travelodge, as long as you let them know its for a family they will made sure its all made up for you, its near enough the same as a family room just wider doors and accessible shower/bath etc.:D0
